10 and 12 y3 - ‘Maxi’ and ‘XL’ skips
These skips are great for projects such as whole house and office clearances. This includes light installation and bulky waste but not heavy and dense waste.
6 and 8 y3 - The ‘Builder’s Skip
The 6-yard skip is most-commonly seen on UK driveways everywhere and are suitable for modest amounts of heavy, dense waste or bulky waste.
4 y3 - The ‘Midi Skip’
These skips can be used to get rid of heavy/dense streams such as bricks, rubble and soil and are suitable for average amounts of home, garden and construction waste.
In reality, the larger the volume of waste, the lower the cost per cubic yard or metre. The costliest aspect of skip hire is the Heavy Goods Vehicle transport and delivery, but because transporting a larger size skip doesn’t significantly increase the charge, a larger skip makes sense.
