Barnsley skip permits
Clearabee can provide expert advice on the additional needs of your skip hire, including whether or not you’ll need a skip permit. Generally, you will require a skip permit in Barnsley if you wish to position your skip on the road.
Barnsley parking suspensions
The town of Barnsley relies heavily on skip hire for homes, office and construction rubbish removal. Not everyone has the space for a skip though, especially those in densely populated areas.
For reasons such as these, Clearabee can acquire the relevant parking suspensions so you can use a skip even if you don’t have the space.
FAQs
Birmingham skip hire FAQs
When thinking about skip hire, there are a few things you should consider, including which skip is best for you, where you’re going to place it and what you're going to dispose of in it.
We discuss the main skips in our dedicated FAQ section, but we can hire out almost any type of skip when required.
The 4 cubic yard ‘Midi’ skip is usually the smallest available in the UK. The next largest skips are ‘Builders’ skips at 6 - 8 cubic yards, while ‘Maxi’ and extra-large skips are 10 - 12 cubic yards.
The largest skips that Clearabee provides are commercial skips such as lockable skips, enclosed skips and (RORO) containers. Quotes can be provided upon request.
Standard household, bulky or business waste can be disposed of in a skip along with standard garden and construction waste. However, some restrictions do exist regarding which waste streams can go into each skip and which waste types can be mixed.
The following waste streams are prohibited from being thrown in a skip without prior arrangement:
White goods or large electrical items
Chemicals, paints and liquids
Hazardous waste streams
Food waste
Plasterboard/gypsum waste
Skips will be delivered between 8am and 6pm but we are able to consider specific requests although these cannot always be guaranteed. If you need a more precise time and have a light waste stream that needs removing, then our ‘Man and Van’ service may be a more appropriate option for you.
If you require a more precise arrival window or have access considerations, please contact Clearabee as we may be able to accommodate these via a bespoke quote.
Clearabee’s standard skip hire period is for 14 days but if you want to hire a skip for a longer or shorter time, you should let us know ASAP so arrangements and charges can be organised.
